Coffee with a Cop

We recently held Silt's first Coffee with a Cop event.  Silt Police Officers as well as residents met at Misty's Coffee Shop in Silt on Fri Sept 23.  Anyone who attended got a free thin blue line bracelet and stickers were given to the kids.  It was a great turn out and hopefully we can schedule another one soon.  Thanks Misty for the opportunity!! Coal Ridge Forensic Class Does Mock Crime Scene

On Sept 17th, several seniors from Coal Ridge High School joined Officer Uhernik in Veterns Park to create a Mock Crime Scene as part of a project.  The students had to mark off the crime scene, take pictures, and document and collect evidence.  A video was made by the students for the project showing the steps they took to investigate the scene.  It was a great learning experience and an awesome relationship builder.  Pictures
